Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Tiki Codex ("the app," "we," "us") is published by Serenity Global Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Tiki Codex you agree to this policy.
TL;DR
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not sell or share your data.
- We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers.
- The only data leaving your device is the text of questions you send to the AI Tiki Oracle, which is processed by our AI provider to generate a response and is not used to identify you.
- Everything else — your cocktail history, Passport stamps, favorites, and preferences — is stored only on your device.
1. Information We Handle
1.1 Information stored on your device
The following is saved locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage. It never leaves your phone or tablet unless you choose to use iCloud sync via Apple's own services.
- Cocktails you've marked as made, favorited, or saved
- Tiki Passport progress and earned stamps
- App preferences (theme, sort order, etc.)
- Lesson progress within the Tiki Academy
You can erase this data at any time by deleting the app from your device.
1.2 Information sent to the AI Tiki Oracle
When you ask the AI Tiki Oracle a question, the text of that question is transmitted over a secure connection to our AI inference provider for the sole purpose of generating a response. The Oracle prompt does not include your name, email, device ID, location, or any account identifier — we don't ask for any of those.
Oracle prompts are processed in transit and are not stored by us. Our AI provider may retain prompts transiently for abuse prevention and service reliability as described in their own policies, and is contractually prohibited from using them to train models or build advertising profiles.
1.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect, request, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Your precise or coarse location
- Photos, microphone audio, contacts, calendar, or health data
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV) for tracking
- Crash logs, analytics events, or usage metrics
2. Children
Tiki Codex is rated 17+ and intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17.
3. Permissions
The app does not request access to camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, health, or notifications. If a future feature requires a permission, the app will request it from you with a clear explanation and you can decline.
4. Security
All network requests use HTTPS/TLS. On-device data is protected by iOS's standard data-protection class. No system is perfectly secure, but because Tiki Codex collects no personal data, the impact of any security incident is intentionally minimized.
5. Your Rights
Because we do not maintain a user database, there is no account to access, correct, export, or delete from our servers. To remove all locally stored Tiki Codex data, delete the app from your device. If you reside in a region with data-protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and have questions, contact us using the address below — we will respond within 30 days.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we materially change this policy, we will post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
